May 30, 2009  okay so i'm new here and i just wondered if anybody had a possible fix for me without using a vista disc. I'm on vista x64 and i downloaded some stupid tcpip patch which did nothing except make it impossible to boot up my system in any mode except when i boot up in disable driver signature enforcements and in that mode i can only stay on for a maximum of 10 seconds after the log on.

Get the fix to the 0xc0000098: The Windows Boot Configuration Data file does not contain a valid OS entry boot error message affecting Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

3. Select the Windows installation drive, which is usually C:, and click Next
4. Choose Command Prompt when the System Recovery Options box appears
